Explore the Math Recovery assignment at Castlemonte High School in Oakland, where I had the privilege of helping 9th to 12th-grade students enhance their understanding of mathematics. By providing tailored instruction and a supportive environment, this initiative aimed to empower students to reach their full potential and build a strong foundation for their academic future.

The Math Recovery project at Castlemonte High School was an opportunity for me to contribute to the growth and development of students facing challenges in mathematics. By working closely with students of various ages and math levels, the focus was on helping them improve their skills to achieve grade-level proficiency and prepare for college.
Twice a week, I conducted classes on the Castlemonte campus, where I shared lectures and provided exercises tailored to each student's needs. Additionally, I assisted them in working out solutions, ensuring they received the guidance and support necessary to progress in their understanding of mathematics.
In my approach to education, I believe in the potential of every individual to succeed when given the appropriate resources and encouragement. The Math Recovery project was built on the foundation of hard work, continuous improvement, and the recognition that everyone has something unique to offer. By acknowledging the diverse circumstances that may contribute to students' struggles, we can work together to foster a more inclusive and supportive learning environment, paving the way for a brighter future for all.
